DEMM’s research activity in Statistics and Mathematics is highly diversified both in theoretical and in applied statistics and mathematics. Research activity is chiefly focused on latent variable analysis, optimal experimental design, categorical analysis, inequality measurement, MCMC algorithms, optimization methods and dynamical systems analysis, data matching techniques. Applied research is performed in economics, finance, sociology, politics, demographics, and biology.
